Air pressure amplifiers

HAA31 · AA · AAD · AAT

Air pressure amplifiers raise supply pressure at the point of use. Some supply air drives the piston, while another portion is compressed to a higher pressure. A receiver can support high momentary demand and recharge between operating cycles.

01Driven by the same air source, without a local electric motor
02Stops at pressure equilibrium and restarts when pressure drops
03Single-acting, double-acting and two-stage options
04Select by total air consumption: delivered air plus drive air

APPLICATION & DESIGN

Understand the application.

Applications

  • Increasing force in clamps and pneumatic actuators
  • Air tools and industrial equipment
  • Air pressure testing
  • Local supply where factory air pressure is below requirements

Product features

  • Driven by the same air source, without a local electric motor
  • Stops at pressure equilibrium and restarts when pressure drops
  • Single-acting, double-acting and two-stage options
  • Select by total air consumption: delivered air plus drive air
TECHNICAL DATA

Data with a source.

ParameterValue and reference conditions
Family envelopeUp to 5,000 psi (approximately 345 bar), depending on model Source ↗
HAA31 — series envelopeUp to 600 psi (41 bar), depending on model ratio Source ↗
AA / AAD — series envelopesUp to 4,500 psi (310 bar), depending on model Source ↗
Available airInclude exhausted drive air in the calculation, not just outlet flow Source ↗

Flow decreases as outlet pressure rises. The family envelope rating does not apply to 4AAD-2 or every other model. Continuous duty and humid air require review of catalogue instructions.

YOUR APPLICATION

Your data. Our selection.

  • Minimum supply pressure during air consumption
  • Target pressure and flow or volume per cycle
  • Operating time and pause between cycles
  • Receiver volume, if fitted
  • Air quality, drying and available compressor flow
